TalentNet Live is back at the Iron Cactus
for the 3rd year running with a truly
innovative conference experience.
This is unlike anything you've seen
before. Don't miss it!

On Friday, March 8, TalentNet Live! returns for its third annual Austin conference. If you are interested in mobile recruiting, cool tools, candidate experience, HR Strategy,
*Building and Executing A Social Recruiting Campaign,
*Developing and Marketing an Employment Brand,
*Social Media Policy Creation, Compliance & Employee Enablement,
*Tracking, Analyzing and Reporting Results,
…and building campaigns that actually get noticed… then you need to be at TalentNet Interactive on March 8th.
Additionally, in the spirit of South by Southwest (which kicks off the same day), we’re changing the game with a new (and radically different) kind of conference track:
We’re not just thinking outside the box here. We’re blowing the box up and building something better:
If you’re don’t want to just talk about social recruiting & branding but want to get “hands-on” with your learning, you’re not alone. On March 8th, the conference experience as we know it will evolve.
This year, TalentNet Live! attendees can participate in a an actual recruiting case study in real time with real practitioners in highly interactive, collaborative workshops.
That’s right: We’re doing a live, crowd-sourced, social recruitment strategy and audit. 24 Hour Fitness has graciously agreed to open up their recruiting strategies and practices for us to audit and learn, step-by-step, how to do the same for our own companies & brands. Plus, you’ll get an actionable social recruiting template to take back with you. More info.
If you’re part of a tech start-up looking to hire, or are part of a recruitment team, this is the perfect opportunity to be able to work with some of the leading minds in the HR Technology & Social Recruiting space. And it won’t cost thousands of dollars to do it.. registration is only $250. But the strategies and tactics you’ll learn with us on March 8th? Priceless.
Registration & Welcome
The doors to TalentNet Austin Interactive officially open at 10 am; just enough time to get set, registered and get caffeinated before the day formally kicks off. It’s also a great chance to network with conference attendees, facilitators and speakers in a relaxed, informal environment. Around 10:10, our conference will be kicked off by Master of Ceremonies Dwane Lay & TalentNet Live founder, Craig Fisher.
Opening Session: Testing Your Program’s “Fitness”
This will also serve as the kick-off overview for those choosing to participate in the afternoon interactive workshops track and case-study. While these workshops will clearly provide a wealth of knowledge for 24 Hour Fitness, don’t be fooled about it’s outcome: the afternoon case-study workshops are designed to help you learn, hands-on in real-time, how to do what we’ve discussed in this session.
Platinum Sponsor Session: Talking Tech Hiring Trends W/ Dice
Tom Silver, Senior VP, Dice
Tech Hiring Trends and newly released Annual Salary Survey data. What’s Dice doing to help companies combat the state of tech hiring challenges. What could be more relevant than looking at Tech Hiring Trends while at SxSW.
Networking Lunch
Conference Track 1: General Sessions
Concurrent Session Options: These general sessions will be held upstairs and are limited to 75 attendees each session.
Conference Track 2: Interactive Workshops
Workshops will be held downstairs and each session will repeat four times. Sessions will follow the same timing as conference track one, so participants can either work their way through all 4 workshop sessions or mix-and-match between workshops and general sessions. To keep the session interactive, each workshop will be limited to 20 attendees.
After the third workshop session, Workshop Attendees will take a 10 minute break and then reconvene in the Cactus Room downstairs to review & discuss recommendations made in each session and ask questions with Matt Charney & Crystal Miller. Chief People Officer Mark Foley will also be on hand to consider recommendations and arm participants with a leadership view of challenges and questions likely to be raised when considering implementing the recommendations made from workshop sessions, emulating the experience conference participants might face within their own organization.
Networking Break
Closing Keynote
While the TalentNet Live! agenda is built around employer branding, social tools and HR technologies, the one issue that underlies – and impacts – every company’s talent acquisition efforts (online or otherwise) is building and maintaining a diverse workforce.
Joe Gerstandt, a highly sought after speaker and author on diversity and inclusion issues, will help set the stage with the opening keynote: Whole New Talent: Diversity Reconsidered. This session will combine equal parts presentation and discovery to examine work and research from a variety of disciplines to uncover new insights which challenge not only the importance of individual talent, but also existing ideas of diversity and inclusion.
Come with an open mind and join the conversation to develop a new understanding of diversity – and, just maybe, a new understanding of the concept of talent itself.
